The LIFE IP project Rich Waters involves 35 beneficiaries with The County Administrative Board of Västmanland as coordinator. The beneficiaries includes national authorities (as Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management and the Swedish Board of Agriculture), County Administrative Boards, Municipalities, the research sector (SLU and IVL), Water conservation associations (as Nyköping Rivers Water Conservation Association) and water councils and a few Private enterprises.

Main Objectives:

The main objective is full implementation of the RBMP 2016-2021 (River Basin Management Plan) of the Noth Baltic River Basin in Sweden. The complementary projects will contribute to reducing the emission of phosphorus and nitrogen, increased mobility of fish species through free fish ways and reduction of the amount of environmental pollutants in water. This LIFE IP project aims at developing complementary actions in the whole range of national funds and EU-funds relevant for environmental impact, as well as innovation processes and development of new techniques to reach good status.
