Treatment of greater than 75% sewage and discharge and reduction of untreated sludge entering drains and rivers in urban areas of India.
Providing clean, safe, sustainable water and sanitation is fundamental to poverty reduction, sustainable development, and to human survival, health and wellbeing.
Reusing treated effluent in agriculture substantially recycles nutrients, saves water and energy, while increasing crop yields.
Current BW technologies are complex and expensive and lack of predicable results from current non-linear modelling equations.
Realising the potential of increasing treatment performance and applicability over existing technologies through targeted biological research and product development. Utilise sensors for forecasting pollution loading and monitoring performance and re-use water quality for agriculture. Developing new mathematical modelling methods to size & specify systems. Verify the effectiveness of smart agricultural water re-use
